This week (11/14/12), three Feynman teachers are headed to Denver, CO to attend the 59th annual convention of the National Association for Gifted Children.
Why am I excited for NAGC?
NAGC presents an unparalleled opportunity to connect with some of the greatest minds in gifted education. This year, Howard Gardner, Joseph Renzulli and Robert Sternberg are participating in a panel discussion about their contributions to the field. Very cool!
Not only does NAGC feature panels led by prominent researchers, it also offers opportunities to hear from the people on the front lines of gifted ed: the teachers. Teachers from all over the country will share their experiences working with gifted learners, providing conference attendees with ideas and resources to bring back to their classrooms.
NAGC offers us teachers a chance to truly reflect on our practices and philosophies. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with colleagues from all branches of gifted education and can’t wait to bring the new research and lesson ideas home!
